Episode #136 - What happened to 20k? And how did we get here?

When the 20k ride closed at Disney World, there was a lot of discussion. Why did it close? Was it temporary? And then when it became permanent, the discussion turned to the question of what might become of this large plot of land, and the huge water tank that had been the most expensive element Disney built at Walt Disney World. Come and listen as I take you through what happened along the way.

Information contained on this podcast is collected from various sources. No one can say with certainty that all of it - or really any of it - is absolute truth, but it is my understanding that this is a fairly accurate depiction of how the new Fantasyland came to be.

Episode #135 - 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (the attraction)

Welcome to part 2 of the 20k Retrospective. Today, I talk about the ride, and just how it all came together, and how massive the project was. The subs were quite the pieces of work, and it was a remarkable feat to build them. And of course, I play the full ride audio for you.

My thanks to 20kride.com for some of the information on this podcast.

Episode #134 - 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (a trip into history)

Today's podcast is about 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - that is the Jules Verne novel...and the Disney movie. I talk about the history of the novel and its contents, then I talk about how it came to be a Disney movie. This is part of a multi-part podcast that will later talk about the attractions that it spawned.
